Brianna turned 9 on October 2nd. I decided to surprise her with cake pops for her class. I did the cake pop and dipped them in the chocolate and Den put on the hair, eyes and noses. Great team work produced great pops! The class loved them, but most especially, Brianna felt special! Mission accomplished.
Early morning cupcakes instead of donuts and a little something to help her make it through the day until we celebrated at supper.
Her very own DS2
Then Dennis surprised me with a quick trip to Salt Lake City to see where my boy Taylor hangs out these days...AND...take in General Conference. We were able to go to the Saturday morning session and it was very awesome, as usual. The talks were uplifting and inspiring. We got to meet Lindsey and her parents and hang out with old friends too, Josh Palsky (and his fiancee) and Ben Galenzoski and his wife. We LOVE Taylor's buddies...and missionary companions...Roland Laboulaye and Matt Bell. What awesome guys. It seemed like wherever we went with Taylor, he was bumping into people he knew from all over the world. A mission makes the world seem small. He's doing great at BYU and loving his life. That makes me happy.
While we were gone, Lewis did a phenomenal job of taking care of house and home and kids. He even came up with a chart system for consequences and how to 'earn' back privileges through point assignments to tasks. This boy is going to be a great husband and father. How lucky am I to have him so little trips like this are possible! Love you Lewy.
