Cuz when it does this....
You feel like making bread!
I put this cereal in the dough and it was yummy!
And in the morning...I saw that we had a visitor...
And then the snow went away, and we have had a beautiful Indian Summer!
Time to use up my fresh BC Mac apples.
Waiting for tomatoes to ripen is like watching paint dry...
The girls decided to use me as their hair model...
Guess who turned 54 on Sept. 23rd?
The sunrise on this particular day was stunning. Reggie and Dane came down the stairs and could see the sky through the window and yelled "MOM! You've GOT to take a picture of the sun!!!" And so I did.
Finally, the tomatoes are ready to become salsa and sauce. A labour of love considering I do not like Salsa...and I NEVER handle onions...but for everyone else, yes. I may have cried a little bit...
Reggie caught Dad and I hard at work!
...and then passed out on the couch.
It's worth the effort for sure when you look at your finished product!
Lewis works on the Leavitt's farm and they are away for a while, so guess who gets fresh chicken eggs every other day? Yuppers...we do. Too many to eat at once, so of course, we pickled them!
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and went out to the farm to harvest. Carrots, beets, potatoes! It was fun to see the kids get their hands in the dirt. And of course the baby ducks (who aren't so much babies anymore...kept us company...and we fed them worms...maybe that's why they kept us company?) ;)
Even carrots like to cuddle ;)
