The Jafferjee House continued!
The town is really interesting. Narrow roads between stone buildings. Our driver was weaving through these little 'streets' like nobody's business--I was in the back getting dizzy! Definitely need a map in this place. When we finally parked, I looked around and saw nothing resembling a hotel. A lot of little shops, people and poverty. We had to walk around a few corners to find our hotel. The population is 85% Muslim here, just for interest sake.
Looking up from the atrium in the middle of the hotel...
...looking down into the atrium from an upper floor.
The 'House' was very colourful--had a Moroccan feeling to it. Very interesting.
Supper in the dining room.
We wandered up to the rooftop and a hotel worker led us through a little door that led to the uppermost roof of the hotel where we got these shots.
Panorama view from the top.
Now, to the BEACH!!! About an hour drive from Stone Town.
The sand is white and soft like mud almost.
