We are on our way! Finally!

So, after a lot of waiting and re-scheduling, we finally got onto our flight to Amsterdam.

Rosemarie and Erik are making 'upper teeth only smiles' on purpose btw!

Good morning Amsterdam!

The Purser of the flight came and spoke with us towards the end of the flight to find out what our mix-up was and we informed her of our next set of flights (the milk run) that would stop at 4 more places before landing in Nairobi and she said she'd get back to us.  She came back later to let us know that they made some calls and arranged for us to be on the 'ideal' flight from Amsterdam to Nairobi (direct) -- there was just enough time to connect to this flight.  We were so grateful!  We made it to the connecting flight with no problems and got on board for another 8 hour flight!  We got into Nairobi last night and made it to our hotel...there was a little problem with the hotel, but we did get our rooms and a shower, AND sleep...well, a little anyway.

Today, we are on our way to Kilimanjaro for our first game drive!  Hopefully I'll have a connection tomorrow to the internet and post some of this next leg of our adventure!
