Hello Lake Manyara

Nancy and Rosemarie 'chillin' in the infinity pool.
We arrived at our lodge, at the top of a mountain overlooking Lake Manyara--which is almost completely dried out because rainy season doesn't start until March.  At that time, it will fill up but it's very salty so the animals don't drink from it.

Our little cottages.

This is what the view is from our jeep.  The roof lifts up so we can stand up to take pictures.

The infinity pool.

Lake Manyara is a National Park as well and this was where we had our next game drive.  Not very exciting.  It was a really hot day so besides some elephants and more 'pumbas', we did catch the ears of a hippo from a distance (it was under water of course) and some water buffalo which are not called water buffalo, but I can't remember what they officially are called, because it's time for bed...so I'll check with Rosemarie who keeps a record of all the names of things--tomorrow.
