Homeward Bound

Well, another adventure comes to an end.
I so enjoyed having Reggie as my travel buddy and experience the wonder and awe through his eyes of the beauties of the world.  I'm so glad to have had some time with Kaitlin in one of our very favourite places on earth.  Special thanks to our wonderful friends that make us feel at home in their neck of the woods.  And an even bigger thanks to my people at home who work hard all together to make it possible for me to have a get-away now and then.  I love you more than I can say!

I've been to the Ginger Factory in Yandina a few times but never went through the tours...so this time we went on the train ride and the boat ride through a cute little "find the gingerbread man" hidden in different scenes from around the world (kind of like A Small World ride at Disneyland).  Maria came along and I consider her my new good-luck charm because if she hadn't succeeded at convincing me to go on the tour, I would not have found my jackpot of the trip...aboriginal dot-art ties for the boys in the family!  I've been searching for them for about 5 years in fact!  The closest I've gotten in the past was when the Quantas employee in Sydney gave me the tie off his neck!  That tie is pretty special therefore, but I finally found the ones I've been specifically searching for!  Who knew?  A little shop at the Ginger Factory!

Reggie and I had a lot of time to kill in Calgary so we spent some of it in the Spaceport at YYC.

I'm so thankful.
