Well, back to real life...the kids are doing well and excited to have mom and dad back from holidays and Mac and Kate are off in a couple weeks to France and Switzerland...I was supposed to go as well...and well...because of 2 new additions to the family, it's really not possible to leave them with someone...along with the others...so Denny and I will go on our own trip to France someday...sans kids! Much as I was looking forward to the trip, I'm now excused from sitting on a bus for 5 hours with about 30 some aught high school kids and then long plane rides with the same! But really, I'm a little sad...and Mac and Kate "pretend" to be bummed that I'm not going...hahaha...actually, they still think I'm cool, and would have loved having me there (yes, I may be completely fooled by my own kids, but whatever!)
Kate is a hard worker at her job at the grocery store as well as school...her favourite pasttime is texting on her cell phone. She loves listening to Clay Aiken and Keith Urban and is still a quiet, easy-going gal that we love to have around.
Lewis was in the hospital with his asthma for all of last week and that was brutal...and scary...but he's doing great now...we seem to be there every year and a half on the nose! He's looking forward to football again and summer holidays! (Already.)
Mac is handsome as ever and proving to be the MAN when it comes to helping with the babies and he even scrubbed the bathroom the other day without me asking...incredible...just as he is coming out of that funky teen thing where they lose their brains, Taylor is in the middle of...and Jenn is just entering...oh help me now!
Taylor is the superstar in school academically and is right on the money with trombone...he is quite the musician and loves both stage band and jazz band. He will be playing at the Big Band Ball and Den and I will have tickets and report back on the success...pretty cool. He tells me the girls call him "handsome" for his nickname...I have to agree. His feet are now size 12, so he's past his dad and I don't think they are stopping anytime soon...yikes....
Well, all the kids think they'd love to come with us to Fiji, despite the cockies, and so we look forward to taking everyone soon. Not too soon though...I need to get over my cockroach nightmares and build up enough courage to share my bed with them again@! EEKS!
As for now, stay posted for scenes from the great white north...4 feet of snow...stay tuned!
