We desperately needed to make some lawn area and get the trees away from the deck and house (the leaves in the eaves was a complete nightmare!). So, still preserving much of the 2 acres of trees, we, with help from David, Gabe, Alyssa, Brad and all of our own kiddos, we cut down, cut up, stacked up, dug up and cleared up a total of just under 100 trees. They weren't the hugest trees, but they were jam-packed together. We decided to hire the 'Stump Doctor' who came and literally 'chewed' up the stumps with his robotic grinder. Then we had dirt hauled in and levelled and then sod delivered. Dennis is the master of sod and Austin was his right-hand man.
Then came the trimming of trees, bushes and shrubs. Planting and transplanting...stones and bark mulch. We are so happy with the results of our hard work. The best part is my Zen Pond that I did all by myself! It makes our yard a beautifully peaceful place to be.
