These 2 girls are awesome individuals...and super awesome together. Shannon and Jenna have been best of friends for years now and as Jenna prepares for her mission, Shannon is attending U of C. This separation has been so hard and so for their birthdays (both in November) Jenna went down and they spent the weekend together. They had a blast creating these mermaid costumes for a Halloween party--and shopping, of course. They are off on one final adventure this coming Friday--a week in the sun--before Jenna leaves for 18 months! If Shannon goes on a mission, she'll be leaving while Jenna is gone, so it could be over 2 years before they see one another again! Any girl knows how hard this is...to be separated from your 'Bestie' for that long!
I just wanted to tell you both how much I love you and how proud I am of you for your devotion to each other through thick and thin, your commitment to one another and the values you share, and for your accomplishments--big or small. You are developing strengths and talents to share with others and that's what life is about! Never give up on your dreams and know I believe in you both! Love, Mom.
