Brithday Re-cap--Brianna and Jenna-Rae

On October 2nd, our Miss B-2 (Brianna), turned 8.  We had lots of celebrating to do as this meant a milestone!  She got baptized!  We stayed true to the donut tradition...on the day of a family birthday, we eat donuts for breakfast...(after a healthy bowl of oats or some eggs and toast that is...) and the birthday boy or girl gets to open one present before school/work in the morning, if it's a weekday, and then the big party is either that evening, or the next best evening to be able to allow time to celebrate with all of our people.

The crown cake for the 8 year old Princess.

And of course, it was Thanksgiving weekend when this all happened, so I HAD to include a little piece of art from Jimmy...to represent!  I LOVE this turkey!  And his craft too!  lol

I can't believe no one took any pictures of this year's Thanksgiving celebrations.  We had 35 people here for dinner on Sunday afternoon and it was a beautiful day and beautiful time to be thankful...with people we love!

November 1st was Jenna's turn.
I wanted to make a simple, yet significant cake.  She is our sunshine and this is the simplest way I could show this fact...A little Sunflower cake.

Jen has been collecting items for her 'hope chest' and so we finally got her the 'chest' to put everything in!  She loves to travel, and thus the travel themed chests.  Very exciting!  This girl is going places!  And soon...we should know by the beginning of December where she will be going on her mission!

Happy nineteenth birthday ma luv.  Last year as a 'teenager'.  Oh time, where have you gone?
