Heinzy, Wenzel and Smith's Sunny Reunion

We had the great fortune of going to Maui (for the coldest week of January back home!) with our long-time friends.  Deb and Al have a condo in Kihei, so the 6 of us crammed in and had a big, 10 day party!

Alex, Debi, Kelly, Dennis, Tanya and Monte

Some of the highlights included sitting on the many beaches...of course; sipping yummy fruity drinks while watching the sunset; eating at Kimo's in Lahaina; Hula Pie; delish food from Da Kitchen and 808 Deli and Bistro; the boat ride and snorkel trip over to Lanai where we saw heaps of whales and spinner dolphins (and a sea turtle while snorkelling!); our last day when we went whale watching and saw them so close to the boat it was almost scary!; Local Boys Shave Ice; and just relaxing and enjoying great company and good ole laughter.

On the plane...on the way!

Local Boys Shave Ice is DA BEST!

Breaching whale as seen from the boat...

While we were gone, Jenna and Lewis did a great job of holding down the fort...with back-up helpers that I am so grateful for!  Good timing all around and great memories documented through exciting photos.  I love that I was able to see new sights thru the eye of the camera and capture some great moments to remember.

AND THIS is what we came home to...

Brrr....
