This morning during breakfast, Reggie tried to convince Brianna that she was a boy. She would have nothing to do with that! She firmly announced, "Reggie, YOU are a boy and I am a girl and because you are a boy, you have cooties!" Reggie disputed the whole thing, but she continued to explain; "boys have cooties so I have to stay away from you, I have to stay away from boys...right mom?" Now, if I can get her to internalize this, maybe it will last through her teen years...???
