Brianna turned 11 on October 2nd.  It was a fun day to celebrate.

Kait and Ry bought a house at Pigeon Lake.  Ryan is working out of the Edmonton office now and he'll have to commute a little bit, but they are not city folk.  They are MUCH closer to us so I'm so excited!

I foster, still, occasionally for a shelter called AARCS in Calgary.  They asked in August if I'd take on a mom and her 6 pups.  So, with everyone's help, we've been helping this Aussie Cattle Dog mix momma, raise her babes.  Last Saturday, unfortunately, one of them, Portia, passed away.  She had something wrong with her airway and it was slowly closing off.  She was euthanized at the clinic, but it was a very sad and traumatic day for us here.

Another sad day today.  October 6.  Pixie started having seizures and died.  They are testing for distemper.  This is a terrible disease that animals can get if not vaccinated.  They would have gotten it from the reserve where they were rescued, but we won't know for a couple days.  I just hope the others don't follow.  Sad times.

Jimmy still receives awards regularly for these great qualities he has!
