Surprise trio on our doorstep

Through the past few weeks, so much has been a blur and a whirlwind...and my least favourite holiday of the year came and went...(Halloween...only thing I like about it is that it's my little bro's birthday!).  We managed to dress the kids and take them out for the funnest part of the day (for them) but even before Halloween, we had a knock on the door/bell ringing...and by the time we got to the door, this was all we saw...

This was the perfect surprise, because at the time, we had no intentions of carving pumpkins.  Someone was so thoughtful and whoever they are, thank you.

And today, it was the cookie-caper.  It's amazing how such a small act of kindness can bring so much gratitude.  Thank you.  Whoever you are.
