The rains came down and the floods came up! This is what's been happening around our town! In fact, on Monday, Dennis made it to work just fine (he works about 45 minutes south of the city) but soon discovered that the Morris Creek bridge (which he crosses to get to a fro) was washed out! He called and said he would either try to get a boat across Gregoire Lake or he'd have to drive south and come back up on HWY 63 (which was also closed at certain spots where the water rose over the road.) The driving detour would have taken at least 5 hours...thankfully, he and some of the other guys were rescued by boat and a truck was on the other side to pick them up and bring them home. He used my car the next day to go to the town office and at some point they were notified that the bridge was repaired so he made it back out to site.
Excellent problem solvers!
And here's what it looked like around the city...and it's not much better today actually.

Very happy to report that we are not affected, but many people are and have had to be evacuated. The city is filled with many wonderful people, eager to help.
