The rash explained...

Our doctor's orders..."Kelly, go get Reggie from school right now and bring him back..."

I went to the school, picked him up and back we went.
He showed me the lab report.  In big bold red letters it explained that his rash was an allergic reaction and the allergy...CATS, DOGS, HORSES!

He wrote me a prescription for his Epi pens and said that we must get rid of our cat immediately.  If he has another reaction, he could die.  Not scary at all, right?!  Yikes.

We sequestered our beautiful cat Baby to an unused room and began the search for a new family for her.  Today, Jenna came through!  A friend of hers is coming to pick her up tonight.  We will be sad to say good-bye to the best cat ever, but it's a no-brainer.  Then, we will begin an cleaning overhaul of the house to try our best to remove as much cat dander as we can.  Thank goodness we have mostly hardwood and slate flooring.  We have 2 floors with carpet and we will likely replace it.  We will  have professional furniture cleaners come and the furnace as well.

At least we know.  I was just stunned at the reaction (Reggie's rash last week AND the Doctor's) and it's hard to believe it's that serious, but I'm not going to question it.  He will just be an Epi-pen packer for his lifetime and he has to wear a bracelet always.

Here we go.

Bye bye Baby.
