Sharing behind the scenes...

As you know, I became a professional photographer over the past 3 years through the New York Institute of Photography.  With this, I was drawn to Photoshop immediately, as it's the leading software for many things...including 'photo teasing' as I call it.  It's an amazing program, and even after 3 years, I'm still learning as it is very, very complicated.  I do have a level of comfort with it at this point though, and it's helped me improve my photography...not that I rely on it to FIX my photos after the shoot.  Great photographers always try to 'get it right' the first time.  I use it to improve some things that just couldn't be avoided, or to create art...or just tweak a little here and there.

Lewis took this picture of Dane, which I love.  The composition is perfect, but being a 'snapshot', he wasn't overly concerned with lighting etc.  I knew right away that I could do a little of this, and a little of that, to enhance it.  Here's the before and after...

Dane is a seriously cute kid.  Just sayin'.
