Most people who know me really well, know that I have a tough exterior, and a mushy middle. I found myself so distracted emotionally every time I saw little people over here in Africa. I don't have thick enough skin or a tough enough front, to not be affected by moments like this. What started out with a few little people by the side of the road, turned into more running over every time I looked up! Of course in order for Dennis to get a picture, we gave them money. They are pretty well trained in English...even the smallest one. Holding up 1 finger saying "one doll-ah". I gave them more than 'one doll-ah', and they lit up like they'd hit the jackpot. The smallest one in front with the stick kept standing there, even after I'd walked away, just crying and crying. I don't think I made THAT great of an impression on him, but I decided that I'd rather leave thinking he missed me...and not that he missed out on getting 'one doll-ah' to take to his mother. The biggest one took it all and ran. lol
