Last night Dane started crying hysterically so Kaitlin ran in to see what the problem was. He was pointing towards the end of the bed saying in a terrified way, "look at the monkey Kaitlin, look at the monkey..." So there was the sock monkey sitting up on the bed looking at him and he was genuinely freaked out! So Kaitlin took it away, but then, the sadistic side of her reared and she snuck back in the room and propped the monkey up on the end of the bed without Dane seeing and crouched down and whispered, "pssst, Dane, Dane..." Dane sat up, saw the monkey and with a shaky voice said "Kait-lin? Kait-lin?" and started screaming in horror! So tonight when we tried to get him to make friends with the cute little fella, and this is what happened...
No go. These two will not be hanging out anytime soon. And I thought he was kinda cute.
