Families are Forever

Many of you know of our 'big day' this coming Saturday.  My friend Karen surprised us yesterday with a little 'treat' to help us celebrate!  Thanks Karen!!!

We believe that families can be together forever, after this life is over.  This is why as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we are married and sealed for time and all eternity in the temple, and not civilly, till 'death do us part'.  Dennis and I were married civilly first because he was a new member, but we went to the Seattle Temple a year later and were sealed as a couple.  There are well over a hundred temples across the world.  We are fortunate to have a temple in Edmonton and so that's where we're headed this Saturday.  When a couple is sealed in matrimony in the temple, any children born to them are therefore sealed to them as well.  If an adoption occurs, those children can go into the temple and be sealed to their parents forever when all legalities are completed.  We went to the temple in Cardston with Mac and Kaitlin on their first birthday, and now we have the privilege of going again with our other 6.  The bigger kids get to be there as well and so it is something we are all so excited for and it's been a long time coming!!!  We are thankful for this opportunity and we are thankful to our family and friends who have, and continue to support us and love us on our journey!  We love you all!
