What a party! Dennis and Taylor kept me out all afternoon on Saturday as part of the plan for Jen, Char and John and Lew to get my par-tay on the go. Char made one of my fav dishes, Chicken Parmasan with all the fixin's and then they brought out the cakes...a carrot cake with yummy cream cheese icing and of course my latest fav, Tuxedo cake! Then they started talking about me opening my gift...and I was saying, "I said I didn't want any gifts..." and they were like, "oh, no biggy, it's just one little one..." Ya right! It was a brand new camera. Den got me one for Christmas a couple years ago and that made me fall in love with photography. Since that time, I've practiced my hand at it and have gotten pretty good for an amateur...if I do say so myself...and I'd talked about taking a course and really getting a grip on it so I can do more cool things...and they totally shocked me with this new baby! I got 2 lenses as well and I can't wait to put it to work! So all in all, they got me good...I had no idea, really...it was soooo great to have Char and John there and all of us together, minus Mac and Kate...who sent me cards...but it wasn't quite the same without them...but I guess I'm getting a taste of the near future when kids will be leaving home and not able to be there for every occasion!
Anyway, thanks to all the birthday wishes and I love you all!

Yeah right did you think that was my only comment?? haha fooled you. For starters, you look SO good in these pics man! I see you've got "the necklace" on. Love it. Man you just look so good. I doubt I'll ever get a big b-day like this...unless I happen to move back to Canada by then! Rick's not much of a party planner/thrower. Even for his best friend!
