Hair

So, there is this ongoing battle in the house...hair. All the men in the house say girls should have long hair...pretty much. So Dennis told me that as long as I keep my hair long in my 30's, he won't complain if I cut it when I'm 40. Well, I have just over 2 months until I'm 40 and I decided that enough is enough. I really love my long hair, but only when I can straighten it, or curl it nicely or you know, actually fix it up. 99% of the time, it's in a pony tail because I don't have time or energy for the management of the long locks. So I went to my awesome hair stylist and told her to go for it! I didn't tell Den of course, he may have tied me to a chair or something. So I love it so much because it's sassy and blonde and easy...well, Jenna curled it in these pics, and so I have to give her credit there...but I'm not regreting it at all...the boys on the other hand...Taylor and Lewis have been trained well to give the "right answer" and so sure enough they said I look really good. Heaps of others have said the same...men and women alike! But Den, well, after a couple days he volunteered that my hair is 'cute'. I realize I have caused a fair amount of trauma for him, but let's be real, everyone knows I'm not a "pleaser" so I'm going to do what I feel I need to do...regardless of the outcome...

See if he has any comments on this posting...but if anything, our posterity will know that Denny boy loved Kelly with longer locks than shorter locks...so I'll leave it at that, with one last note...thank goodness for the gals in my life who give me confidence and boost my self-esteem.

I need to add a footnote here as my dad has read this and called me to say "hey, what about my opinion"...so Dad has ALWAYS said he likes my hair short...so when I said all the men in the house, I really meant all of my men in my house...my dad is in his house, but thinks my hair looks great any way I have it, but prefers it short! So I needn't worry about that now right?!
