Vegas and Hurricane...Utah that is! If it were an actual hurricane, I doubt you'd be reading this right now!

Here's a couple more birthday pics...Mac's cake was to die for! And his shirt says "here I am...now what are your other 2 wishes?"

Well, we had a successful trip down to Hurricane, UT via Las Vegas...Mac is going to school in Hurricane for the next year and so we went down to Vegas with Mac and brought Taylor along because Vegas is only 2 hours from Hurricane. We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to Blue Man Group...and brought the boys along of course. It was Taylor's first time on a plane...he learned he does not prefer the window seat! First thing he said before we even took off was "where's the barf bag?"...thank goodness he didn't need one!

We flew to San Fran and Mac took these pics of the Golden Gate Bridge and we think Alcatraz. This other pic is of a long, long bridge and I just kept thinking how I'm not sure I could drive on it wthout feeling terrified!

We stayed at the Luxor...which is the pyrampid hotel and it was just okay by our standards...

It was hard to get accustomed to the casinos EVERYWHERE and even at 4 am people are sitting there gambling their life away! Pretty crazy...good lesson for the boys to see what a waste that is! Everyone smokes everywhere down there as well...so we choked our way thru the lobby every day!

1:30 am...the outline of the hotel in the background...

So we spent some time up at the Las Vegas Temple, which is beautiful, right at the base of a mountain.

We did a little shopping and went thru a few different hotels...the Venitian and the Palazzo are a couple of my favourites...a gondola ride thru the middle of the hotel as if you were in Italy...very cool. There were paintings on the ceiling that looked like the real deal...we found a gnome and Mac and T just had to have their picture taken with him...we thought maybe it was part of the Amazing Race!..

Keep in mind these pics are taken INSIDE the hotel...the ceilings are painted and you totally feel like you are outside! Amazing!

There were street performers as you may see in Rome...this white guy just stood there...like a statue...kind of creepy actually...

The boys with the Blue Man Group...sort of...

At the show...we were all given a bunch of white streamers to "decorate" ourselves...and Mac did just that.

The Statue of Liberty, Las Vegas....and did I mention it was 115 degrees the entire time???? Talk about melting!!!!

It is fun to check out the Heinzlmeir Adventures!!! I wonder how much it would cost to stay in the Palazzo - that would be a pretty fun get together on you way to pick up Mac. Even if all we could afford is the boat ride. Actually the way this next year will go maybe we should plan to go Italy!

Good idea...you don't want to stay at the Luxor...trust me...and I love the idea of going to Italy! After being at the "faux Italy" I really, really want to see the real deal!
