So, Char and John arrived on Thursday night. They came to help celebrate Mac and Kate's 17th birthday and our 19th wedding 
anniversary. The thing is, Char is so talented and John is always willing 
to help...so we TOTALLY take advantage of them! Kaitlin recently "freshened" up her room and made it quite royal. It's cozy and rich. Jen has had her eye on a particular duvet from Ikea for some time and I told her we'd work on it this summer. But with Ikea so far away, and Char and John driving right by on their way here, I had them stop and shop...Char loved it (especially spending MY money instead of hers...that's always fun!). She grabbed the duvet as well as some other items to make the room great (including the BED frame that we were going to get next month some time...and squished it, and all the stuff into their little car and were scrunched up against the dash the WHOLE way here! Talk about 
the things we do for the ones we love!!!! We told Jen to empty the room because we were going to just paint it for her...but she totally had no clue we were going to do a complete room makeover! It was so fun. So we worked at it most of the day...and did the reveal at about 11 pm tonight. Here are some shots of the room and some birthday pics as well. We are continuing the birthday party on Sunday with cake etc. because tonight Kaitlin had a date with Olivier as he graduated and she was his date. Taylor also went as he was the date for a grad as well. They looked VERY beautiful/handsome, don't you think. Kaitlin is absolutley gorgeous! We bought this dress on eBay. It's a vintage 40's-50's label and she looks amazing. Well, see what you think...

Ok, this post deserves 5 comments at least! hee hee...First off, Kaiti looks sooooo good in that dress! Oh my. And Tay looks so pretty too!
Now for the room comments...Char is so talented eh? That flower makes Jen look so small in her bed! It looks totally awesome. I love the whole thing. Jen would have to be crazy not to just love having a room like that to hide out in. Lucky girl.
