Den was so upset with me...he wanted to rush me to the hospital and I refused...I asked him to pull it out and he would have nothing to do with it! It took some psyching myself up and a prayer and a few yanks...it was in there pretty good...but I got it out...and yes, you are not typically supposed to pull foreign objects out that get jammed into the body....but I knew this area is not super vascular and it was only in about a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch...which is a lot when you are the one with the screw in your foot!

My blog is about making history. It is a living journal of the Heinzlmeir family. Each day and each life event is worth documenting and even if some of those events are hard...and not always happy...being able to look back and see how those times made us stronger or taught us a lesson to remember forever...it's life, and we embrace it.

Safety First....????
Well, Dennis and I were about to begin demolishing some shelves in Lewis' room when he walked into the house in his shoes and I said "why are you wearing shoes in the house?" He said he would not work in a "construction zone" without something on his feet! I of course, was barefoot...as usual and off we go...well after pulling a huge shelving unit down (and trying to keep it intact for him to use in the garage) we were manouvering it out of the room when this happened....
