Spring is in the air!

Well, let's see...my buddy Chelle over yonder in the land of Oz, is dying to see more pics and read up on my exciting life (ha!)...so here goes...Here's Jen and Lew...

...and then Mac...the gold chain fell off the tooth (why did we pay $2000.00 for that surgery??? hmmmm), so he needed to get a bracket attached...which is causing him pain and agony...and then he jammed his finger the wrong way into the basketball the other day and is dying for me to take him to get xrays,,,hoping it's broken...I don't think I'll ever understand why kids want glasses, braces and broken bones...go figure...but he sure is good lookin'!

Kate started a new job recently. She's the evening/Saturday receptionist at a chiropractic clinic (our friend is one of the chiropractors there). She loves the fact that she isn't run off her feet like when she worked at Save-On (and she actually still works there doing inventory when needed!...they wouldn't let her leave all together!). She also loves the fact that she gets to wear scrubs...sooooo professional looking.

She also went on a field trip to Edmonton to take part in a Women's Career Expo. She was able to have a hands-on experience with different trades and career options. I thought she'd come home all excited about Diagnostic Ultrasound Techology or Radiology or Dental Hygene etc...but nope...this is what she loved the best.........

....welding! Oh boy.

Lewis has a few injuries himself...this one is from his locker that he ran into trying to dodge a flying backpack (that was being swung at him by his best friend??!) He got creamed today by a couple big linesmen in his football game...but he gets up and brushes it off like a real man.

Jen is off to Edmonton with her best friend Eryn. They are having a little shopping break before more exams next week. Ahhhh, I can totally understand how this will make her feel better, but sad to say it at the same time....she's a chip off this ole block, that's for sure! She's very excited to become a professional shopper...not....but she does want to be a fashion designer and we have new neighbors that are really great...moved her from Calgary and she is from Russia and is a dressmaker...so she and Jen have already talked about getting together and having some creative juices flow! Great to have friends with talents to share!

Taylor is just arriving from a band trip to Red Deer. He's got provincial exams this year as well. He finished one already, and did well. His arm is healed up nicely, but now we have a diagnosis of Osgood Schlatter Disease. He has a bump below each knee cap that are very painful and we just have to wait until he finishes growing before he is relieved of the intense, constant pain. Ice and patience. It's common in teenaged boys that are athletic. He can't even kneel down...and it's super hard for him to get up off the couch in the evenings. He recently got orthotics as well, hoping that this relieves his pain a bit and helps with his 3rd stage flat-footed issue.

Kate and he also just finished performing at the Grand Concert here at Keyano College with the Westwood Music Association. (Both in the front row...Kate on the left and T on the right).

Otherwise...we're all good and looking forward to summer, although doesn't look like we'll be going anywhere as we are saving up for Char and John's wedding, which will likely be somewhere hot and sandy...and that is super exciting!
