We left Fiji after a week and headed over to Oz. We loved to see the ocean daily, as our friends live right by the water on the Sunshine Coast. We went to a cool market up north and a tourist town by the water...we enjoy the "Plaza" aka "Mall" here in Canada. Comparing prices, food, milk...no we wouldn't dare try vegimite...nodda. Everyone greets you with "How ya goin'?". The big picture is Brisbane...
We saw some beautiful surfing sites that Rick has frequented and saw our first Koala!
It's super hot there right now as it is summer still...and they don't have root beer...just sarsparilla. Close enough for us. No DQ....was craving a blizzard (not the snow kind...we left that behind for a couple weeks). They say "haych" for the letter "h" and call cantelope "rock melon". You have to pay for your ketchup in restaurants...even the little sqeeze out things....and they have the best "chips"...and cheap too....meaning fries, not potato chips. We had them more than a few times!
Denny even drove Rick's old Land Cruiser around (on the wrong side of course!)...
